The Frassati Centre for Preaching and Evangelisation
The Frassati Centre was opened in 2021 following extensive renovations, and provides a wonderful space for events of all sizes. The centre occupies what was formerly Holy Cross church, originally built in 1821, but is now a renewed pastoral centre with halls, catering facilities, and meeting spaces of all sizes. Parish events are regularly hosted in the centre, including tea & coffee after Mass, primary school gatherings, parish groups, and young adult meetings.
The centre is principally reserved for the use of the parish and events organised by the Dominican friars. It is also occasionally hired out for external groups for conferences, training days, and celebrations.

St Pier Giorgio Frassati
The centre is named after St Pier Giorgio Frassati, a young Italian, born in 1901, and a lay Dominican. His short life bore immense fruit in prayer, charity, and joy. Born in Turin, he lived as a university student deeply rooted in the life of the Church, devoted to the poor, and committed to following Christ in the ordinary circumstances of the world.
He died in 1925 after contracting polio through his charitable work, and thousands of the poor of the city of Turin turned up at his funeral. He was canonised on September 7, 2025.
