Fr Richard Ounsworth OP
Fr Richard is the parish priest and prior of the Dominican community at Holy Cross. He also teaches Scripture and New Testament Greek at Blackfriars, Oxford. After completing his undergraduate and masters at Oxford, he finished his doctorate there on the Letter to the Hebrews.
Fr John Patrick Kenrick OP
Fr John Patrick is the subprior and an assistant priest. He has lived in various priories in the UK and also spent time in Russia and Ukraine. He is responsible for bookings in the parish centre and deals with some of the parish admin. His main interest is in moral theology.
Fr Benedict Jonak OP
Fr Benedict is the chaplain to the two universities in the city, Leicester University and De Montfort University. He is also the Local Safeguarding Friar.
Fr John Church OP
Fr John is the assistant university chaplain, and runs Dominican Young Adults, the friars’ young adults ministry. He also coordinates the Dominican friars’ presence on social media.
Fr Anthony Rattigan OP
Fr Anthony is the bursar, and assists in the parish.
Fr John Farrell OP
Fr John has been a Dominican friar for 54 years. He is now 75 and semi-retired but celebrates Mass and preaches and gives retreats.
Nicholas Hoff
Nicholas is the sacristan and has been working at Holy Cross since the mid-90s.
Mary Green
Mary manages the Repository and is our Facebook Administrator. She is also a reader at Mass and organises the readers’ rota for the Sunday 7pm Mass. She has worshipped at Holy Cross for nearly 15 years, and was received into the Church at Easter in 2013.
Virginia Astell
Virginia is the Parish Safeguarding Representative.
Thomas Keogh
Thomas is our Organist and Director of Music.
